지금까지 만사교재는 몽골어, 중국어, 키르키즈어, 포루투칼어, 러시아어, 크로아티아어, 알바니아어로 번역되었습니다. 각 언어로 번역되는 이야기마다 특별한 간증들이 있습니다.
드디어 스페인어 만사책이 번역되었습니다. 중남미 모든 국가가 스페인어를 사용하고, 브라질만 포르투갈어를 사용합니다. 브라질 아마존 마나우스에서 사역하는 선교사님들과 동역이 이루어지면서 포르투갈어 만사는 이미 번역되어 사용되고 있었습니다. 그런데 그 많은 중남미 나라들과는 연결이 잘 이루어지지 않고 있었습니다.
하나님의 때에 드디어 만사교재가 스페인어로 번역되었습니다. 성령님이 연출하신 이야기가 놀랍습니다. 김태은 목사님은 2019년 캘리포니아 머슴교회 세미나와 만사심화 세미나에 참석하시고 나서 스페인어 번역을 자원하셨습니다. 김태은 목사님은 아르헨티나에서 성장하여 교육을 받고 의사가 되셨습니다. 하나님의 부르심이 있어서 신학 공부를 위해 캘리포니아 풀러 신학교에 오게 되었고, 신학교를 졸업할 때 엘에이 지역에 수많은 남미 사람들에 대한 부담을 가지고 남미사람들을 위한 교회를 시작했습니다. 제자 훈련을 강조하는 목회를 하다가 뭔가 한계를 느끼고 머슴교회 세미나에 참석하게 되었습니다. 만나며 사랑하며 일대일 양육 교재를 접하고 나서 본인의 제자훈련에 '관계'의 부분이 약했다는 것을 알게되었다고 나누었습니다. 본인이 섬기는 교회 성도들을 위해서 '만사 교재'를 스페인어로 번역해서 사용하고 싶다고 했습니다. 그렇게 스페인어 만사 교재가 2020년 코로나 팬데믹 속에서 번역이 되었습니다.
브라질 아마존 입구 마나우스에서 사역하는 이성로 선교사님으로 부터 스페인어 만사교재를 보내달라는 요청이 있었습니다. 전혀 뜻밖에 베네주엘라 난민들이 마나우스 아마존까지 내려오게 되었는데, 난민 사역에 참여하게 된 이성로 선교사님이 베네주엘라 난민 중에 젊은 목회자들을 알게 되면서 이들과 만사 양육을 하기로 했습니다.
미국 엘에이에서 아르헨티나 1.5세 한인 목회자에 의해서 번역된 스페인어 만사교재가 브라질 아마존까지 흩어진 베네주엘라 난민들을 섬기는 도구가 되는 것은 우리의 상상을 뛰어 넘어 성령님이 연출하신 멋진 작품이라 생각됩니다.
The Mansa book translated into multiple languages: Finally translated to Spanish
So far, the Mansa book has been translated in Mongolian, Chinese, Kyrgyz, Portuguese, Russian, Croatian, and Albanian. The way each translated book came to be has its own unique testimony and we are able to see God’s hand behind each translation.
All Central and South American countries use Spanish, except for Brazil which uses Portuguese. The Portuguese Mansa translation has already been written and is in use through collaboration with missionaries working in Manaus, Brazil. We were struggling to connect with other Central and South American countries because we did not have the Spanish Mansa translation. But finally, the Spanish translation has been written through God’s orchestration!
In his time, God has prepared ways for the Spanish Mansa translation to be made. It is amazing how the Holy Spirit has guided us through this process. In 2019, after attending the Servant Church Seminar and Mansa Intensive seminar, Pastor Tae Eun Kim volunteered to translate the Mansa book in Spanish. Pastor Kim moved to Argentina at an early age and grew up to become an Argentinian medical doctor. With God’s calling, he attended seminary in California. By the time he graduated, he became very passionate about the Hispanic population in the region and started a church for them. He decided to attend the Servant Church Seminar after he felt that something was missing in his discipleship-focused ministry. He saw that “relationship” was missing in his discipleship training after he read the Mansa book. He wanted to translate the Mansa book to Spanish to share with his church. Thus, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Spanish version of Mansa was finally translated.
Meanwhile, Missionary Sung Ro Lee, who is serving in Manaus, Brazil, has recently requested Spanish Mansa books. Refugees from Venezuela had come down unexpectedly to Manaus and Missionary Lee had become acquainted with young pastors among them. They decided to disciple the refugees using the Mansa program as a tool.
We could not have imagined that a Spanish Mansa book translated in Los Angeles, California by a 1.5 generation Korean Argentinian pastor would be used by Venezuelan refugees in the Amazons of Brazil. This is one of many stories where we are able to witness God working beyond our imagination.
